Sheriff Artemis by Spacecowboytv Sheriff Artemis by Spacecowboytv
Well I am sorry I haven't been around lately, We have been super busy at work and I have had a lot of unexpected things crop up on me. Anyway, I'm getting back into the Artemis Groove and wanted to share a warm up piece I did for fun. This is Art dressed up as Sheriff! I think she gives a good stare down look. Comments and Critiques are welcome! Thanks

You are really living the phrase- Life is what happens when you make plans. Aren't you? I hope you get some time to relax in there.
Artemis is looking great! I really love the extra belts. I like that you kept her original outfit's feeling and carried it though to this design. Wonderful job!
Ha :D I think you totally have her stare down!

Great job. She's got that serious - "I'm gonna put your ass in jail" look on her face.

Just one thing though ... I got out a magnifying glass to be sure ... but ... it looks like she's wearing her ammo belt upside down - with the round lead noses of the bullets up. While the leather loops might be tight enough to hold them in place ... these were usually worn the other side up, as the base of the bullets, with the rim, was usually wider than the loop - to keep the bullets from falling out.

Cartridge Belt:

One other thing ... she also seems to be wearing a pair of knee high "English Riding Boots" that she had some how tucked the bottoms of her Chaps down into. Mostly, Chaps, were really large at the bottom to protect as much of the riders legs from brush as possible. Chaps also didn't wrap fully around the legs but only covered the fronts as ... cowboys didn't ride their horses backwards through brush. A sheriff ... unless they were one that herded cattle as well (which certainly could be) wouldn't be wearing chaps.

Ha! Ha! I spent about 2 hours looking all that stuff up ... that picture of the cartridge belt was the hardest to find. Oh well ... I didn't spend 9 years getting a Masters in History for nothing! Ha! Ha!
